Did you know...
You can enjoy a leisurely walk or jog around the outskirts of the Village. The path is 3.4km (give or take) and snakes itself around Millen Farm, the Samford Community Hub, the local soccer fields, through the Samford Avenue of Honour and back down to the Village, where you can enjoy a sneaky reward afterwards. The path is also bike and scooter friendly. 🛴

A Piper Comanche plane crashed into the forest floor of the D'Aguilar Range in March 1977. Remnants of the plane wreck are still there.
The Samford Avenue of Honour comprises of one hundred trees, marking the centenary of the Anzacs, twenty stone pillars symbolising the bayonets and swords depicted on the Rising Sun badge and twenty hoop pines, which represent the twenty local servicemen who never made it home to their loved ones. It is a place of reflection, a place to honour past and present defence personnel and dignitaries, that have represented our Nation during conflict.
